When going fishing, mining, woodcutting or any other places in which it is faster productivity to be alone, here's something that most people get mixed up with. Most people go to a low-player world, because they think there will be less people there. If everybody does this (which is normally the case), then the low-player worlds will have lots of players at production areas. Go to a higher-player world that has an activity made for that specific world. To get to the point, this way the majory of players will be at that activity, and if they are on that world they wont be at production areas, because of the high number players.
Woodcutting
When cutting magic logs, always cut with a dragon hatchet.
For money, cut yews at level 60+. Only cut magic logs at level 90+.
When a bird nest drops, grab it! Sometimes you will find magic seeds which can be worth up to 250K!
